"Mongol" means prosperity and growth. In Bengal, Lord Laxmi is the presiding deity of wealth, prosperity and growth. So this model has been decorated using elements associated with the goddess. The area also contains clay representation of an object the goddess regularly carries. Shade is made from gamcha, a common textile form in Bengal.
